One of my New Years resolutions this year was to visit the gym more often. I like working out but always feel self-conscious about the way I look especially in my old gym sweats. What cute gym outfit ideas do you suggest for a girl who wants to workout and look great while doing it?

Working out is always more fun when you know you look awesome! While it doesnt matter what others think about your appearance when youre in the groove of a great cardio routine, I know that looking your best while you do can be a real game booster. In fact, looking great and feeling great will make you want to work out even more! So heres to looking fab at the gym
Fresh Face. First and foremost, ditch the makeup. Otherwise youre going to melt your face off once you start to sweat. And thats not a pretty look. Besides, a good workout will always get a nice glow going, even if you are flushed to the max. And if youre not getting sweaty at the gym, youre doing something wrong. Or nothing at all. So skip the makeup and show off a naturally clean face.
Hair. Keep it out of your face! The only thing worse than having running, melted makeup at the gym is a bad case of hair stickies. You know, the strands of hair that stick to your sweaty skin? Annoying. Pull your hair up into a cute ponytail and add a headband for added security and style. If you really want to get creative, throw your hair up into a pretty braided up-do very on trend at the moment!
Attire. Comfort is everything. The last thing you want to worry about when youre getting your cardio on is an outfit that needs constant pulling and tugging, or gets in the way of your performance. A pair of sleek black workout capris seem to flatter everyone and are no-fuss. Top with a built-in sports bra tank or a sports bra and loose-fitting tee. Keep the pieces simple, basic and comfortable, but feel free to add some pops of color and fun prints.
Kicks. Lastly, the best way to add some serious style to your workout look is by rocking a pair of cool trainers. There is a great selection of womens athletic shoes these days that can help improve your workouts, as well as give you some seriously cool style cred. I really like the Adidas CLIMACOOL running shoes because they come in really awesome color combinations, like these coral and aqua runners.
The basic rule for looking and feeling great in what you wear is to simply be comfortable in it. Once you have that part down, you can focus on more important things like getting in a great workout and getting healthy. I hope this tips help good luck on your New Years resolution, Elizabeth!
